I dont know how many of you use firefox (if you dont theres no reason you shouldnt be) but I wanted to see if any are obsessed with extensions like I am...here's what I have so far:

Adblock Plus - Blocks every Ad from every website even annoying flash ad's

All in one Sidebar - just makes the bookmark/add on/theme's a lot easier to use on the side

Auto Copy - If you highlight something it will auto copy it so you can past it anywhere

Click & Clean - gets rid of all cookies, private data etc with one click (firefox already has something similar)

Clipmarks - Save portions of a website you like to your "profile" at Clipmarks.com or something like that

Customize Google - It allows you to have a small thumb nail photo of all of your results from a google search

Facebook Album downloader - yeah...very stalkerish but you can download someone's entire album with one click

FEBE- it will back up ALL of your settings on Firefox so if you have to reinstall for whatever reason it'll be just like
before

Google Web Accelerator - speeds up your browsing

Googlepedia - half of your results page will come up with the best Wiki result found form wiki.com

Google Preview - similar to customize Google

IE Tab- you can view any page in the same tab but as a IE page (good for those that build web pages)

INline google definitions - right click any word and it will give you the definition (GMTM you may want this!)

Mobilizer- send any photo video or whatever to your cell phone

Quick Note - right notes on a webpage or wherever you want about any page your on

Save Session - Save all your tabs so you can open up all the tabs you've had open at a later time

ScrapBook - saves pages to your C:/ so you can view any time even if the page is removed (links can work also)

Talkback

Unhide Password - good for someone like me who has 100 dif passwords it will show you what it is so you'll be reminded often

Zoomfox - zoom in on any photo (BJ you may like this)

That's all I have...I love them b/c they are so small you can download them and install within seconds see if you like it and uninstall it or keep it

I tried several of them but they seemed to slow down my net speed.

But I agree wholeheartedly that Firefox is the only way to go.

Download Statusbar is great. It keeps track of what your downloading in a convenient window attached to the bottom of your browser window. Also, FoxyTunes is excellent for controlling your iTunes or most other media players without minimizing your browser. I have FasterFox installed which supposedly speeds up your browsing speed but I can't really tell.

I'm running:

TwitterFox and TwittyTunes: I've gotten into Twitter a bit lately, and these both work well with it.

Zotero: This thing will assemble a bibliography for you. If you use Internet resources at all in your papers, you need this plugin.

Colorful Tabs: mindless, but it looks cool.

DownThemAll!: This thing is awesome. If you're on a page with a lot of PDFs or MP3s, and want them all to download, you just hit this button once and it downloads them all.

ForecastFox: nice weather bar.

FoxyTunes: Control your audio program from your browser. TwittyTunes works with this.

Gmail manager: Gmail notifications for all my accounts right on the browser pane.

Google Reader notifier: smae thing as above for my Google Reader account.

IE Tab: A few sites I have to use are stuck in the 20th century and aren't Firefox compatible.

I really haven't noticed much of a performance impact from these, and there are a couple I installed and don't use that much, but these are the ones I use regularly.

What's your audio program?

I'm guessing Audition. It's the best low end audio program on the market. I have it on my laptop & desktop.

Actually it's "Free Video Converter"

Download Helper downloads Youtube files into .FLV which is useless...so I use that to convert it to Mpeg or audio only...SIMPLE to use and FREE

Audition has it's great uses but is over complicated for simple tasks

I was going to use Download Helper, but I found Keepvid, which is an online app that does the same thing. This way, all I had to download and install was Videora iPod converter -- it even automatically adds it to my iTunes playlist.

Yeah...sounds like your set...but for those that are still looking the "free video converter" will convert for Mpeg, PSP, IPOD, Zune, Iphone and several other formats

I used to use IE Tab at work, but it stopped working suddenly (caused Firefox to crash). It came in handy while it worked.

That's odd. I use Firefox for this with no problem. Maybe I'm missing out on some functionality, but it seems to work for me.
