One thing I am frankly sick and tired of...

If there is one thing I am just absolutely annoyed with, its the fact that just about every discussion, particularly on the Men's Basketball forum, ends up degenerating into people with issues with our prior basketball coach and with our current AD on one side, and people trying to keep this discussion about supporting LU athletics and the current administration on the other.
When I came to Liberty in August of 2002, I came looking forward to 4 years (well actually now 6) of enjoying great LU sports. When I joined the Fire House (and later Flame Fans), I was looking forward to talking about LU sports and the trials and travails of various seasons, and celebrating our victories when they came. What I have seen in the last year is absolutely loathsome behavior on the part of some people on this board (you know who you are) on both sides of this. Whatever has happened, be it good or bad, it is now in the past. We have plenty to look ahead to right now. We have a new basketball coach who is showing himself to be a classy individual. We have a new baseball coach that this weekend showed that he could do amazing things with and for our baseball program. We have a softball program that, even with a rough start this weekend, has a lot of youth and could do amazing things this year. We have an athletic director, who, even with his flaws (which is pretty much par for the course since everybody has flaws), has done what he believes is necessary to help LU become a very good athletic program. We also have a track team that is going this weekend upcoming and has a chance to sweep the conference, and a coach who has been around since many of the older fellows here were students, and before a number of us younger guys were even thought of by our parents.
How about instead of spending all this undue energy going back and forth like a bunch of kids on the playground, we set aside our differences. take whatever opinions we may have to a more private setting, and strap on our red and blue and support the school we love. Im certainly going to...who's in?

although I agree with you (re: frustration), unfortunately- this is typical of internet message boards.
anytime strangers can have somewhat anonymous conversation/arguments online- it inevitably tends to degenerate into this. I think we're pretty fortunate- due to hard work and pretty fair (IMHO) moderation, as well as what Liberty stands for - that things remain as civil as they do on here.
chalk it up to human nature

This was on this weekend. I had forgotten just how funny it is. I think that it's probably timeless.

True indeed.
The whole, "We've got no food, we've got no jobs......are pets heads are falling off" was on our answering machine when we lived off campus.

I think there is a bit of a hidden meaning in that, too.

Nice set of hooters you got there!
According to the map we've only gone 4 inches.
WE'VE LANDED ON THE MOON!
They're driving an '84... Sheepdog.

The first time I set eyes on Mary Swanson, I just got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.
That's a special feeling, Lloyd.
Bikini contestant: Hey, guys. We're going on a national bikini tour and we're looking for two oil boys who can grease us up before each competition.
Harry: You are in luck...there's a town about three miles that way. I'm sure you'll find a couple guys there.
Bikini contestant: Okay..thanks..
[bus pulls away]
Lloyd: Do you realize what you've done?! Hey! Wait!
[bus stops, and opens doors for them]
Lloyd: Y-you'll have to excuse my friend. He's a little slow...the town is back that way!

Harry: I can't believe we drove around all day, and there's not a single job in this town. There is nothing, nada, zip!
Lloyd: Yeah! Unless you wanna work forty hours a week!
