Best drummer?? Not even close. Now if you differentiate between "Best" and "Fastest" helmet head there may compete in the "Fastest" category but wouldn't even touch the best.
As for the best:

Neil Pert
Stewart Copeland
Lars Ulrich

a friend sent me that clip and was like "this guy is like the best ever" and i'm certain he was dead serious...

in all honestly apparently the guy is super fast....22 beats per second...

yikes...

combine fast with skill and joey jordison is probably at the top of my list...but for technical i'll take buddy rich/peart/beuford and another handful...

Now YOU must be joking. Take a listen to the rythmns and the energy of his sets. That is a great combination that he has. He does a great job of keeping together the shifting chords of the band and adding his own flare. Much more then just your "average" heavy metal drummer

metallica is one of my favorite bands and i'm kind of a drumming junky even though im very much a novice with the sticks...me as well as most of the drumming community. his beats are simplistic and just barely better than the average heavy metal drummer...hes not a bad drummer but doesn't have any business being considered one of the best...if you've seen him live its utterly dissappointing...its easy to be a great drummer in teh studio..
