Top 12 guys went tonight. Much better vocals than last year. All of these guys sing pretty well. I think 5 or 6 stood out from the rest. Guy that played the guitar was very good as was the the 17 year old (Archeleta).

In addition to being more talented than last year, I think about half of the guys are gay or at least waaaaay to feminine. That was really annoying to watch.

Yup. He realized that football just isn't for him, so he is pursuing something more his style...

I was thinking about the whole too feminine thing too and hope they get no phone calls as I can not watch that all season. Good voices!

Me too. Also, the guy that went last has been a professional singer before, so even though he is really good, I hope he doesn't go far. I think voters should snub the contestants who have professional experience. Their are two girls and I think one or two guys that have had record deals.

I realized last night why I've never watched this show. It's a good show, and the singers are talented, but I'm so critical of performers having grown up around it that I pick out the smallest things that each person does and criticize them for it.

Well then. Please watch and fill us in. I love to hear critics comments.

I am looking forward to seeing Kady Malloy tonight too. She lists Eva Cassidy as a musical influence. She (Eva) was form my hometown of Bowie, MD and was an incredible vocalist and it was a shame she wasn't more widely recognized.

Thanks for my ramble

Understatement of the day...by Erik Kusileas on ESPN radio...

…"How do I say this about last night's Idol? Let's just say there was not a lot of testosterone going on there."

Did you think the guy looked like Ellen Degeneres?

He could be her son...if she was so inclined.

I thought the girls were okay, but overall I was a little disappointed with their performances. I thought the best performances were by Epperson, Whitaker, and Mercado. Mercado being the best. I liked Kady Malloy too, but the judges were kind of down on her. Worst performances were----Amy Davis, and Joanne Borgella. The others kind of fell in the middle.

Then you LOVE Danny, the asian looking guy with the slicked hair comb-over.
(and from his looks...he'd love you right back)

Unfortuantly, the gal they were backing, Amy Davis, got voted off (and google is your VERY good friend)

Yeah, Amy Davis was terrible. I think Danny has a chance to stay in for a while becasue of his crazy personality.
