Can any of you NC guys give me a recommendation on Parker's BBQ in Wilson? I'm going to driving through there on Friday and have heard of it through reputation.

It's pretty good... not the best, not the worst. They had some good fried chicken last I was there.

I agree, better than Smithfields... never been to Wilburs... if you're ever in the Greenville area, there's a town a few miles away from Greenville called Ayden, they have Pete Jones Skylight Inn... the building is a replica of the U.S. capital... best BBQ ever. He was in Time magazine for his bbq.

This is true. Also, Bill's is in Wilson...not a bad choice, either.

The Best anywhere= Wilbur's
If you are going to Wilson, go to Bill's not Parkers.

Have you ever been to KC, Memphis or Austin? Then careful with the broad declarations. It may be the best NC bbq but to drop in the "anywhere" may be taking it over the top.

Since I have only eaten the KC variety of the 3 you mention that it all I can compare it too. I can also compare it to that junk at the Silver Pig and that mushy slop at Dickies. So from what I've eaten it is the best. I've had tons of different types of BBQ in my life from all over. I've probibly had the types you speak of and not known it. And NC BBQ will beat anything you got hands down for me. Note: I said for me.

mmmmmmmm
