Ohio University-Chillicothe basketball player dies

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- An Ohio University-Chillicothe basketball player died after collapsing during practice.
Jonathan Davis, 20, a sophomore from Hampton, Va., fell to the floor Monday evening and was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, school spokesman Jack Jeffery said.

This really sucks, and I guess it could happen to anyone.

I didn't even know that school had a team and my family is originally from Chillicothe (no relation to KT if you are wondering, medic). These types of deaths are always a tragedy.

I wasn't
and this is just another sad occurance in a relatively unrecognized sting of events happening to athletes. Obviously, we dont yet know what happened- but many young players are not diagnosed until its tragically too late, a la Hank Gathers.
