Well, how many of the addicts got a chance to see the first new episode?

My guess is they will eventually go back to the island. I also guess that we will have to wait another 10 months to see the 8th episode of the season due to the writers' strike.

Yea...It was great to have new episodes back tonight. Not real thrilled that there are only 7 episodes left until another LONG hiatus if nothing is solved soon. I thought it was a good show. Obviously there are a lot of gaps to fill between where they are on the island and where they are in the future.

i heard they already wrote 8 episodes before the strike, so we should see 8 in a row before a break. there are only 16 episodes in the next 2 seasons anyway, so 8 will be halfway before the break.

and why the heck should hurley have stayed with jack?!

Jacob = Christian Shepard?

He's even wearing the same tie he wore in the first season:

So far we know three of the Oceanic Six (Jack, Kate and Hurley). Two more could be Claire and Aaron, if Desmond's vision follows completely through.

Does anyone else think Naomi's crew was sent by old man Widmore to head off Penny's search and eliminate Desmond?

Still wondering who was in the coffin. Also good to see Charley back, even if he is dead and only part of Hurley's imagination. Yea, I'm a LOST addict--watched & taped the 2 hours on Wednesday night and did the same last night.

Are you talking about the police officer that interrogated Hurley? I DVRed it but haven't watched it again yet (this weekend). I don't think anyone saw the person that Hurley was looking at, rather they just saw that Hurley saw something before running out of the store.

I loved last night's episode. My thoughts are...

Ben is in the casket
Claire and Aaron will get off the island, otherwise they ruin Desmond's character trait of being able to see the future, losing all credibility. Does Aaron count as one of the six though? Sure, I guess technically he survived the crash, but I don't know.
I think Sun is going to get off the island and I think Jin is going to force her so she can live, but for some reason he won't be able to leave. (Part of me hopes he dies so he can return to 24 as Agent Baker)

No...I think he is talking about the guy at the mental hospital that told Hurley there was a guy (Charlie) wanting to talk to him.

Somehow...Oceanic is behind this whole deal. They have to be coverup for something. The way the dude was talking to Hurley, trying to make sure he was taken care of...did he need anything, moved to a nicer hospital etc. They are doing whatever they can to make sure the "survivors" are well taken care of so they do not talk. Thus....Jack checking on Hurley to make sure he did not "talk."

I just keep thinking there are so many "little" things that we'll never get the answer to because they were so long ago and everybody's forgotten. Like Ethan's superhuman strength, or Jack's father walking around or that picture in Henry's avatar and all of those other orignal mysteries.

i assume that once they answer some big questions, some small questions get answered....

like for how the ruski doesn't die? i think that answer will come along side the superstrength question....

jacks father if you watch the mobisodes guides vincent to find jack telling him "he's got work to do"

and jack now is apparently jacob...or is it the black monster...who can shapeshift, but why would he appear as christian to hurley?

In all of the promos for the show, they end by showing the show's logo, which is different from in past seasons. (If you need a hint as to what the old one looks like, google it.) The new one shows the word "LOST" over top of a jungle island. The reflection in the water is a city instead of the trees and mountains. At first, I thought I had just missed it for the past couple of years, but I think it is new this season. I'll give credit to Mrs. 01, she spotted it first.

i don't think they have anything to do with it other than they are to cooperate with who ever is behind it. they are trying to "take care" of him because they are worried he'll talk...

they keep talking about the oceanic 6 which means :

1. all but 6 survive
2. (what i think) only 6 get back somehow and the rest are still on the island. thats who i think the black guy was asking about "are they still out there"

I was reading somewhere that this is what Jack was checking on Hurley to see if he "told"...that is has to do with the fact that they left everybody else on the island.

As far as the black guy in the mental hospital...also heard a theory that he was the smoke monster or the island manifesting itself...same as Charlie when he visited Hurley. When the black guy leaves...he disappears the same way that the smoke monster always leaves...you actually do not see him leave...just disappears like Smokey.

The same for Charlie...because the other dude sees Charlie, he has to be there...can not be in Hurleys imagination. It is the same what that the island manifested itself as Christian Shepherd, Yemi, the horse to Kate etc....

LUConn and I have noticed the whole "city-in-the-reflection" promo, but it's almost impossible to make out what city it is. Just more crap for people to speculate about.

I'll have to look for the city from now on. My first guess would be Los Angeles.

I noticed the city in the reflection too. After discussing Lost with my wife and her friend yesterday I learned that there is a beliefe out there that the "Others" are following the structure of a scientology community. I don't know anything about scientology other than what Tom Cruise has told me so I can't analyze it any further.

Which mobisode is that one in with Jack's dad and Vincent? I thought I watched all of them (12), and that definitely wasn't one of them.

so I guess that's mobisode #13. Great, I watch twelve of them and that's the one I miss.

is it somewhat important to watch these if I want to know what's going on? If so, that's gay. In fact the answer to that question doesn't matter. The fact that there is background or extra events happening that are not on the show is gay.
