Where can I get my credit score for free?

Is there anywhere I can get my actual score for free? I know I can get a copy of the report at annualcreditreport.com for free but I want to get my actual score. Is there anywhere I can do this? I know eloan offers a FICO estimate for free (which I did 2 years ago so I can't get a free update) but it's not entirely accurate. Any help would be great. Thanks. FWIW, I work at a bank and as an employee I cannot view my own credit score.

I check my credit once a year for free, but I don't remember the website. I'll try to run across it for you.

there is a site that will give you your FICO score for free 1 time only. If I recall, it's eloan.com. After you use that, there is no possible way to get that score for free at this time.

yeah here it is. They'll try and trick you along the way to sign up for some kind of monitoring service, but just make sure you're doing your free credit score and nothing else https://www.eloan.com/myeloan/viewscore ... er=&mcode=

and actually it's not a true FICO score, but Clark Howard says that it's very very close to it. So I guess there's no way to get a free FICO score.

Oh, well...I guess I'll just have to guestimate...

Yes, go to www.myfico.com. Sign up for the free 30-trial, and you can get your credit report AND credit score. Nothing else I've looked at actually gives you a credit score, but this place does.

They also have a message board populated by a bunch of crazies whose credit score is their life, they know everything about it.

Apparently you didn't even get two sentences into it.

Expect a call from my attorney.

I just skim most posts, looking for key words. Thus, I only picked up "where" "free" "credit" "bank employee"

Indeed I have...I was bored at work this morning and figured I'd see which one I liked best...

Don't mess with anyone but www.freecreditreport.com. Their the best and do offer a free credit score.

I would recommend everyone to subscibe to a service that monitors your credit report - it's a great investment and a big protection in this day and age. It's worth the $10 a month to know when someone has hit your credit.
