Anybody watch that lie detector show last night?

Mildly entertaining. I like the concept but I don't like all of the talking in between questions and the minute long pauses in between "That answer is" and "True/False" to create a false sense of drama. I figured it'd be like that ahead of time so I DVRed it and it took me like 25 minutes to watch an hour long show. I'll keep taping it, but I imagine this show will be the butt of a lot of jokes.

I actually wanted to see it in order to see if it was as bad as I anticipated. Thanks for the observations.

I'm pretty sure that one dude is getting a divorce soon. He bascially admitted that he's used the internet to flirt with girls since he's been married, and he also is putting off having kids because he's not sure yet if he'll be married to his wife forever. Oh, and he also lied about touching female clients more than he has to (he's a personal trainer) and by lying that lost him a lot of money. I guess this show has the "train wreck" mentality. You can't look away.

I'm 3 minutes deep and I'm with you man...they have already asked him these questions so they already know his answers so that pause is stupid and they need to figure something out with that...not only is there a pause after he asks the question but after the "that answer is"

and that guys wife is really hot

I can see The Soup using this footage often

She is good looking. And lucky for you she's probably available by now, depending on when this show was taped.

I watched it. Thought it was hilarious. I knew he was going out on that question about touching co-workers though.

Thought I'd bump this up. I thought this week's show was pretty good. I was suprised the gambling guy dropped out at 100 grand. Looks like it could get ugly next week for beauty pageant contestant.

Those guys know all the questions they have been asked. He probably saw the 100,000 and figured it wasn't worth the risk with the potential questions remaining.

Exactly...he was well aware of what was coming up in the next few questions...plus his son put a good bit of pressure on him by telling him he'd lose respect for him if he kept going. The whole show could easily be condensed into 30 minutes. I'm just thankful for DVR. I think next week could get interesting with the beauty queen.

Boy did his son ever want to be on TV...I mean this kid tried his hardest to be noticed

I guess it could get interesting with that girl...she's a lot better than I was expecting...still a virgin and in pageants? I didnt think that went hand in hand....but I guess so!

I don't believe that she's never cheated on a test. She was able to fool the machine I tell you.

what could that last question possibly be? Something incriminating that you'd have to go to jail for a few years before you collect your money?

I thought I read somewhere that they couldn't ask "felnonious" type questions or questions where they could end up being prosecuted. I could be wrong though. I think with the smuggling question last night, the guy had passed the statute of limitations so he was beyond prosecution.

well even if they did that test doesnt hold up in court....yeh yeh they could investigate the claim but if they havent gotten you by now then they arent going to....I mean on the last episode they asked the guy if he help someone smuggle drugs into the country...I'm pretty sure that's illegal

And I"m not even sold on how they find out all this stuff...I think it works like this...they ask you to tell them the deepest darkest secrets in their closet and then they ask friends for things that they know about the person...b/c think about it...if they only ask you "50 questions" then how in the world would one of them be "have you helped someone smuggle drugs into the country" that's just to random for someone not to tip them off....and if that's the case then I'm sure someone can keep somethings left unsaid and the show would never think to ask...."have you ever hit someone with a lead pipe in the back of the head while leaving the mall"

I just realized I gave this show way to much thought and time....I'm ashamed
