Didn't really see many of his movies. I think the only one I saw was the Patriot.

Ho-lee-crap. Yes, I only saw a few of his films (no, it wasn't Brokeback Mountain), and I was planning to see Batman's sequel... But geez. This should be a warning to all the other pop-tarts out there.

I saw him in the First Knight movie (or whatever it was called). Good flick, too...
...and the next Batman movie is already in post-production readying for release.

It was a Knight's Tale, it was a very good movie. He was also in The Brother's Grimm, which was okay, kind of hard to follow. He was in 10 Things I Hate About You.

Sad story indeed. I hadn't seen too many of his films but had enjoyed what I'd seen.

He was in the movie Casanova. I have a friend from a church in Tampa who looks just like him it is so uncanny how they look alike.

You know... these people are thrust into fame and fortune far beyond our wildest dreams, at such a young age. And yet, we see, time and time again, that the Things of This World are not able to completely satisfy us. All too often, with Ledger and a week or so ago Brad Renfro, and all the others who died far-too-young (Belushi, Chris Farley, River Phoenix come to mind) they realize that The Things of This World is ultimately nothing.

And I don't know, maybe Ledger didn't intend to kill himself. Maybe it was an accident. Still, these people need to know that Death plays no favorites. There are consequences to the lifestyle that tries to seek meaning by living as hard as humanly possible. And I grieve for people like Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan, because they're probably too stupid to know any better. But they need to know of the God who can fulfill like nothing else. Otherwise, they'll wind up just like so many others before them -- and they'll have to deal with it for the rest of eternity.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Spears and Lohan. Its like watching a train wreck. I tune in to see whats happening with them, but while some people I think look at the spitefully and laugh, I actually really feel sorry for them. It was funny for a while but Britney is really close to ending up like Ledger and its hardly anything to laugh at anymore.

I heard about this at work today...of course amidst everything else that goes on at a car dealership, one of the people I work with just said off the cuff..."I guess he found a way to quit us" I lost it. I hate to say it, but that was one of the funniest and saddest things that I have ever heard.

As it turns out, The Things of This World may have been pneumonia.

No, see, that's the irony of things. The Spears, Lohans and Winehouses of the world live well into old age, while the Ledgers, Phoenixes and Deans die very suddenly.
