I've made it no secret that I'm not a Hucka-fan, but I love this quote:

(While speaking to South Carolina residents about the Confederate Flag):

"You don't want anyone from out of state comin' down and telling you what to do with your flag. In fact, if somebody came to Arkansas and told us what to do with our flag, we'd tell them where to put the pole."

That is funny. And, a side note about the flag, I got this from another board:
People who say the Battle Flag is a racist symbol need a education. And for all you "Lincoln Lovers", he said himself that the war was never about freeing slaves and that he considered blacks inferior to whites. No flag of the Confederacy EVER flew over a slave ship, that would be the stars and stripes; so if you want to hate a flag because it represented slavery, hate that one.

“The quarrel between the north and South is solely a fiscal quarrel” Charles Dickens–Dec. 1861

Maybe that's because the African slave trade was abolished in 1808, before we ever had a Confederate flag.

Here's an education for you:

The Confederate Flag=racism bit had/has absolutely nothing to do with the American Civil War. It took that on in the 1950's and '60's when white anti-segregationist groups appropriated the flag as their symbol.

None of which has anything to do with Huckabee.

Fumble, I may be from WV, but I think having a degree from Ole Miss entitles me to use "we" in reference to the Confederate flag. :)

Mississippi is one of only 2 states that has the Confederate flag as part of their state flag.

And, for the record, my home county of Jackson was named after Andrew Jackson, who was definitely of southern heritage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_Co ... t_Virginia (and the county is below the Mason Dixon line).

It's all good, Fumble, it's all good. But, for the record, anyone from Franklin County, VA is more southern than I am. :)
