But I have a fun story

So my dad calls about 10 min before I had to be at the game tonite, and Im with Sarah(gf) and so my dad asks to talk with her. I need to go, so I decide to just leave her with my dad on the phone, and pick up the phone later that night. So she put my phone in my hoodie that she has bc it smells like me. Later that night she goes to the bathroom and decides to bring my hoodie so that she can smell it while peeing. While smelling my hoodie, my phone falls out of the hoodie pocket and into the toilet.

We tried to blow dry it, but after 30 min still not working. So Jon, TTL and Beaty my phone is of no use ever.

Let the phone dry off completely for a day or so. The problem is that you, like most people would, probably tried to power it back on immediately (or your gf did). What this does is send the electrical charge through the phone to attempt to power it on. Since the phone was wet when this was done, it fried all the components inside. I saw this all the time when I worked in cell phones. The obvious instinct is to power the phone on to see if it works but in reality that kills any chance that the phone could have been saved. You don't know how many phones I've taken apart and seen all the components have turned black from being fried. My first question after seeing this was always to ask if they tried to turn in on right after it got wet. 99% of the time they had. I know that doesn't really help you but it might save another phone in the future.

adam42381 is right. Let it dry. Leave it sitting in a bowl of those silica gel packs if you have any, or a bowl of dry rice if you don't. You just have to be patient. Might take a while to dry out completely. If you've already tried powered it back on, you might want to shop for you new phones while you let it dry out.

Great advice if I were to ever let my girlfriend borrow my hoodie, with my cell phone in the pocket, take it to the bathroom and drop it in the toilet while peeing....
I am just wondering how I would explain to my wife that she could not call me for a week????

Im pretty sure she held the hoodie sideways, then it fell out. Thats the only way I can think of.
