Christians don't/shouldn't celebrate Halloween...or so we were told in faculty chapel today...
...I'm off to Weds night at our church...it's our Sunday School class's annual TRUNK OR TREAT celebration for the kids.

(I learned that today, too, in faculty convo)

My church has one here at the Beach. 5,000 kids and parents attended this year (7th year). Beat that.

On a completely related note... November 1 = one of the top 5 worst days of the year for teachers. I usually grab a roll of duct tape to keep the sugared up kids in their seats.

Big Church in my town 3hrs north of Lynchburg is doing the Trunk Treat thing too. I think this is their first year.

My brother's high school is out the next two days for the end of the 9-week period, teacher conferences, etc.

I'm not sure the final total on my church's fall festival tonight (but in the 5k range seems reasonable), but it gets bigger every year as fewer parents are taking their kids door to door. This year's edition was called Pumpkinpalooza.

Hmm not sure, every since I've been there. But anyway, as I was driving home from work last night, I passed by TRBC and saw a giant Holloween party and all I could think about was how some guy told you guys in faculty chapel that we should have nothing to do with Holloween.
