So what are the requirements to get into UF these days?
Dolphins LB Channing Crowder, who appears likely to start in the middle Sunday against the Giants with Zach Thomas ailing, says he didn't know until Tuesday that people in London speak English.
"I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries," he said. "I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot.
I know London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name."

Maybe that Miss American contestant was right: there just aren't enough MAPS.

Yup, we need more maps so people can locate places like The Iraq and South Africa and Everywhere Like Such As.

"I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,"
It also seems like he doesn't realize that London is a city and NOT a country. He needs to hire Dr. Donaldson out of retirement to teach him some geography.

I mean, it's one of the largest cities on earth. Of course, there are black people there.

Crowder is yanking everyone's chain. In college he was a member of the National Honors Society and he graduated early with a 3.5 GPA. He knows where London is. He's just being a smart***.

By the way, the hot chick who sits next to me at work is a uf grad. Here are some of my favorite quotes from her. She became so bad, i eventually started recording her quotes on the memo wall.
(Pointing to her egg mcmuffin) Is this egg scrambled?
"Just because I'm dumb, it doesn't say anything about my school."
Discussing ncaa mascots
Me: "Oregon, now that's a team with a funny mascot. They're called the Ducks. That's not too intimidating."
Her: "Are there even any ducks in Oregon?"
"This local community leader says there are too many transients around the neighboorhood. Is that like mass transit?"
Her: "I can't believe I have to cover a story this weekend.
Me: "The world's smallest violin is playing over here. Can you hear it?
Her: "Are you serious? Where exactly is it? (HONESTLY, SHE THOUGHT I WAS SERIOUS)
There are plenty more I just didn't write down.

I have a book in my room called Everything is SOmewhere. Its a geography quiz book. I wonder if I administered some of the map quizzes in the book, just how some people would do. Whe the guy who wrote it administered it to students in Miami Florida, at the University of Miami, with PALM TREES outside of their window, many folks could not even locate Miami or the Atlantic Ocean or a number of very basic countries on a map. Now I do not doubt that young Mr Crowder was not an honor student in school, but really I wonder sometimes just what some of these kids learn in school...

well, as my boy tom tancredo said, when you're in miami, you feel like you're in a third-world country
