I was smart enough to not even give it 2 seconds.

you guys are dumb. I thought it showed some real promise for it being the first episode. I wish they had used all of the actors from the commercials, but it looks like they only used one. But it honestly looks like they've found a way to make a racist show without it being about an acutal race to offend anybody.

I agree that it had potential. Had some smart humor and didn't always go for the easy gag. I'll give it a few more episodes. Now as for Carpoolers........

Carpoolers, I thought was great! It was so funny! The ending sucked though. Just kind of ended. But very funny!

Tonights episode made me laugh a lot

(to the class he's teaching)

Yeah, I think the paralels between cavemen and minorities are hilarious. It's probably one of the most racist shows on TV but it's a made up race so nobody gets mad and everybody feels ok laughing at it.

I actually found it to be somewhat entertaining as well... not something I'd schedule to watch but hey, if it's on and am doing nothing, why not?

Thanks to the impending writers' strike, there's going to be a lot of shows this year that are going to be getting extra life instead of cancelled. 'Carpoolers' is horrendous and it just got picked up for 3 more episodes.

I like carpoolers. It's certainly not as funny as many shows that have gotten too quick of a hook, but it makes me laugh. I think it's been said before that most shows start off pretty weak. They've got to find their groove. Those early episodes of Seinfeld are pretty unremarkable.

Yeah, I hated Seinfeld too.

From what I'm reading they are doing pretty well for new shows

Hanging in there are Tuesday comedies "Cavemen" (2.8/8, 6.91m) and "Carpoolers" (2.7/8, 6.99m), while Friday's "Women's Murder Club" fell off in its second outing (2.1/7, 9.71m) but still won or tied for its time period's lead in various categories.

Did you not watch Sliders? That was an underrated show. Good idea anyway. Not to mention he was THE Trip McNeely in Can't Hardly Wait.

I stand by my earlier statement. As far as I'm concerned, Wade was the star of 'Sliders' and I watched "Can't Hardly Wait" for two reasons and two reasons only, both of which were attached to Jennifer Love Hewitt.

SLIDERS was awsome, John Rhyes Davies really added the whole Mr Frenchy thing to it.

Back to the subject: Cavemen. I still like it. I enjoy shows that can poke fun a social "norms". We need good shows like this. Go back and watch shows like All in the Family, Welcome Back Kotter, the Jefferson's. You could NEVER have those shows on anymore because they are not PC. Give me something like this I will watch. It is showins signs of pickiing up so that is good. Mrs Purple can't watch it b/c they creep her out.

The last show was much better (mascot beating). They seem to have found some things to work with.

Totally agreed. Amazing show, at least for the first two-and-a-half seasons, then it was hit and miss. At least one of the show's creators was working on a big screen adaptation a few years ago, but I don't know what happened to that.
