President Bush is predicting that Hillary Clinton will win the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, according to a report on Drudge Report.

Bush gives the prediction in an interview in a new book, ‘Evangelical President,’ set for release on Monday. In the book, Bush told author Bill Sammon that Clinton will emerge victorious over Barack Obama, Drudge reports.

“She's got a national presence and this is becoming a national primary,”Bush told Sammon in the book, according to Drudge. “And therefore the person with the national presence, who has got the ability to raise enough money to sustain an effort in a multiplicity of sites, has got a good chance to be nominated.”

Bush also says that Clinton will lose the presidential race to whomever the Republican nominee will be.

I think it is a given. There is no one that can compete with her IMO. I really don't think Gore could do it, but he would be closer than any of the current challengers to Hillary.

Last year I thought there was NO chance Hillary could win the presidency. I'm getting nervous now. Fortunately there is over a year left till the election, but I think perceptions need to change or she could steal this thing.

I still find it hard to believe that a woman would win a presidential election in this country. The same goes for a black man.

I think Bush is doing it to try and get a reaction from the republican party...good idea I think

i still cannot see a woman in the oval office or a black man, just because of the way the US is. but who knows?? maybe the solis south will come through again.( i will say that i have no problem with a woman or black in the white house provided they are qualified)

I agree with him. I think she's got it in the bag.

Like Smoothie, I have no problem (in general) with any natural American holding the office provided that they are qualified and properly elected.

I do, however, disagree with her holding the office because of her views. (In case aspiano decides to join this thread.)

I think before it's all said and done, Obama makes an impact on this race--Yahoo did a poll of who they would vote for now and Obama won by 4%. I don't think Hillary is as much of a shoo-in as people are expecting.

I don't like Hillary or Obama, but that's 'cuz they're socialists. Heck, I'd support Alan Keyes or Maggie Thatcher if they were running.

I have to say that as a Democrate I am praying that Hillary DOES NOT win the Presidential nomination. I will have a real hard time voting for her and there is no way that I can vote Republican. My vote is definitely for Obama.

Maybe I will vote for a write-in Winnie the Pooh or maybe Sparky?

I have liked him for a number of years. Mainly, because I have found that he tells like it is. I am freightened that the whole political atmosphere will change him, but I think he will really shake things up in the White House.

Then it is decided...Winnie the Pooh for the write-in. Is there a maximum age for presidency, because if there is I am pretty sure he would exceed it?

Alan Keyes is running, supposedly announced on Sept 14. I've never seen more bumper stickers for a candidate before, and his supporters are so passionate and bigger in numbers than anyone could image.

obama doesnt as much state it as it is but more so he says what people want to hear. Does that mean hes qualified to be president? Hell no.

Hillary will get the nomination...I don't think there is any question about this...

Hillary is a socialist...Obama is not....I know some of you guys hate them because they are both liberals...but at least get it right....

If Bush really wants to screw with Hillary's chances of becoming president, he should throw his support out there for her. "Hillary is my kind of candidate!" "She will continue my good work!"

Hmm, that sounds like a great idea! Bush supports Hillary and Hillary's popularity drastically declines.

How is that racist? I didn't say I wouldn't vote for them, in fact, I probably would vote for Obama (not hilary). I was just saying that I find it hard to believe either of them would actually win.
