Anyone know why this is happening?

Ok myspace nerds, I have a question. I've been tapped by our church to make a myspace page to keep in contact with youth and college students... I made up a hotmail email just for the myspace account (I figured I couldn't make another account with my actual email address that is used for my personal account), and it keeps saying that based on the info I provided (on the page where you put in all of your info to sign up) that I am ineligible to register? Anyone have any ideas to why?

Don't you have another e-mail address besides Hotmail? That could be your problem right there ... although I admit I don't know for sure. Couldn't your church set up a dummy account through their site for this purpose?

I would guess that some of the information is the same (?) like your name maybe and somehow it thinks you're one individual trying to create multiple accts. Ensure that all the data is unique and that might do it.

Question: How old is your church?
Follow-up: Does Myspace have a minimum age requirement?

It could be a problem if you have the Hotmail account in your name, rather than the church's name. Of course, a lot of places balk at Hotmail email accounts anyway -- if you need a Gmail invite, let me know -- I've got a ton.

You don't need invites for Gmail anymore.

Why hotmail? It's fast, it's easy, I only needed an email to register, probably won't ever check it.
And when I woke up this morning it was all working, thanks.
