I've got a Windows Mobile touchscreen phone that I've had for over a year. The smudges aren't really ever an issue for me.

I think the iPod touch is neat, but I'm not going to be jumping in on any flash-memory based device until flash memory gets larger. 64GB chips are out, but they're not cheap enough to toss into consumer devices yet with the exception of SSD's in newer laptops. I just have way too much music and video content to buy a 16GB device.

The iPod nano looks chunky, but it was still a needed upgrade. It needed video.

The iPod classic 120GB has the storage, but not the functionality. I wish they'd have just made the iPod touch a little bit thicker and put the 120GB drive in it. I'd have been fine with that compromise. Oh well.

The new iMacs are darned near perfect.

The iPhone price drop was a good move. People who buy technology early always pay more and most don't get $100 rebates for whining about it. Apple really went out of their way on that one.

i was all excited about the new announcement apple was going to make, then they came out with this 16 gig crap in the iPod touch. so now i'm eventually going to go with a different company that offers a very similar type of product but has more storage. i would have eventually gotten an iPod touch if they had put storage in it.

iPod touch is pretty awesome IMO, although it could obviously use larger storage. If I had money to burn, I'd buy it for the PDA and Wi-Fi functions and throw a few videos on to watch on the go. I don't need an iPod for music purposes (already got one for that).

The Nano is tempting for the video function. Its bigger screen is the same size as my iPod photo's.

Be careful. Apparently Apple didn't include the Calendar/Email functionality of the iPhone with the iPod touch, so it's not useful as a PDA. It's basically just an iPod with a web browser and the ability to buy songs from the iTunes music store directly from the iPod. They only included the web browser because it's so necessary for getting on WiFi networks these days.

Yeah, but that's not really giving you true PDA functionality.

I really wish Google would let us use IMAP4 for Gmail instead of POP3. It's so annoying.

the numerous retards here in the office that shelled out a zillion dollars for their iphones all hate them....and their #1 complaint? smudges....although here in the midwest is can be very moist at times...

Weird. Everyone I know that got one only has some minor complaints that will most likely be solved through future software updates.

For what it's worth, my Windows Mobile phone is the worst phone I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. If I had paid for it, I would definitely have returned it by now.
