The Spirit Rock is all Ron Paul'd out right now. One side has WAR with a circle and slash through it. One side says "Google Ron Paul" and the other says something like "Ron Paul 08."

Wasn't me!

However, among young college Republicans, Ron Paul is huge so it's not surprising. There's a group of folks at LU actively working to bring him to campus to speak.

Someone decided to be cute and paint "Ron Paul Has AIDS" over it. How is that ever appropriate?

It's not and it makes me wonder if some people will be crippled by their own ignorance for their entire lives.

I don't think what the did was right, but I don't think the rock should be used for political crap.

Who cares? It is a stupid rock. I think the last thing anyone wants to do on the spirit rock is debate whether the war is good or whether one candidate is better than the other. I think this should probably kill the political debate on the rock (although achieving this ending could have been done better).

neither should class...I have a prof, who I really like, but he will throw in random shots towards Ron Paul....now I am not saying I am in full support for the man as of right now, but everything I have read and everything I have watched him in, I liked....

I guess my prof takes issue with the thought that 9/11 was partially our fault (which is true in my opinion), and that we need to get out of Iraq,...he also thinks that Libertarianism is almost anarchy....

ps....anybody that puts anything up about a politician on the spirit rock is just asking for someone to come along and sabotage it....its kind of funny

No, it should be used for "dorm 13 loves dorm 18" crap, like it always has been.

Common misconception by those who neglect to take the time to research out a topic...(something that would make me somewhat suspect towards a "professor".)

well, he isn't any kind of government professor, so I wouldn't really expect him to know much about politics...but he wasn't actually the one that made the anarchy comment, it was a student, he just smiled and said, "exactly"

I like the guy, I really do...but in the limited research I have done on libertarianism I have not drawn those conclusions and think its completely wrong...

but the girl who said it is on the debate team....so she must know what she is talking about

I know, for two reasons:

#1) There is no dorm 13

#2) No one likes dorm 18.

There is no "Dorm 24" but there is a building 24. It's the laundromat/RD apartment building between Dorm 33 and the old quad dorms.

I know there is no dorm 24. Dorm 13 was the residence life building when I was there, I guess they converted it into housing.
