...he does not think he has nearly enough money to ease up.
“You’re nobody here at $10 million,” Mr. Kremen said earnestly over a glass of pinot noir at an upscale wine bar here.

That is a GREAT article. I loved this quote:
To Mr. Milletti, it all looks like a marathon with no finish line.
“Here, the top 1 percent chases the top one-tenth of 1 percent, and the top one-tenth of 1 percent chases the top one-one-hundredth of 1 percent,” he said.
Proverbs discusses how wealth is eaten up, and how many waste their lives in the hunt to acquire more and more. Many of us think (myself included) how great our lives would be if we just had $100,000, when in reality, God probably doesn't give it to us because He knows that our lives would not be any better. It would probably make our lives worse.
I think most wish they could just have a million or two dollars to retire on. This article really showed how the people who have single digit millions wish they could have double digit millions. I'm sure the double digit millionaires wish they could get closer to a billion. On and on and on. It is nice to know that we are already stinking rich if we have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Of course, if He wants to give me a couple of million dollars to spend here on earth, that would be cool too!

I wouldn't mind just paying my bills off for a start! I am a RICH poor man!
Maybe we should work up a fund for those poor rich people.

ahh to have $1 million. Some will tell you that 1mm isn't really that much in today's age. But if I take that money and stick it in an online savings account, I'm earning 50k/year more than enough to live comfortably on. Heck you could keep your job and live like a king.

Mrs. Sly was doing some steady work in the Silicon Valley a couple of years ago so we checked on prices just for grins & giggles. And shacks out there were going for $600-700k and a simple 4/2/2 tract home was easily a cool million. Its beyond ridiculous.
