We've had some issues recently with us having some outside folks messing with our forum index. We've done a great job fixing the damage as quickly as we spot it. But if you absolutely positively need access to the boards during these times I have set up some direct links to individual forums here over at the Firehouse:

FlameFans Direct Forum Links

If you are addicted as some of us, you might want to bookmark that link as a backup.

FYI: I'm working on this, but from what I can tell it's going to require a patch for the software we're using. So, it's not waiting on me. I'll get us patched up ASAP.

Is that what happened Sunday afternoon and early evening? Gremlins?

Its happened a couple of times the past couple of days. As Scorcho stated earlier in the thread, he's on it. I just wanted to give folks someplace to head in case of emergency.

by dumb luck- I had copied and pasted from my browser history, and figured out that thread 2 was FB (after typing in 1 and getting a "Thread not found" error)

didn't realize you posted the links !

The screen was just a blank white screen for a few hours.

this is so annoying. I think you should find out who is doing this and end their existance. I saw some kind of ad before but now it's just blank.

Whoever is doing this is gay. And I mean that in every sense of the word.

Yes, it is annoying. Especially since they're doing it in a very lame attempt to drive traffic to their own sites, which are the same sites featured in your email SPAM box.

I have a clue as to what's going on now, and I'm working on fixing it. I wish it were more simple than it is, but we'll get it straight. Hang in there, guys.

Correct. What they're trying to do (quite unsuccessfully, I might add) is to hide all of these links in our index page, and then leave the page in a working state. These hidden links appear to Google as valid links from our site back to theirs, thereby increasing their popularity and "pagerank" which moves them higher in Google's search results. That drives more traffic to their bootleg prescription site where old dudes can buy knockoff Viagra from some shady dude in Mexico.

Losers.

Keep your fingers crossed, gentlemen.

I think this issue is solved. I hope.
