How long will this last?

messageboards are relatively a new phenominon. Will they last forever? Sure some people will cease posting when they lose interest or graduate, but for those of us who will seemingly always have the time, I don't see how it will end. Will we be on here at 70? Will we be tailgating at ff.com member funerals?

If all goes well, FlameFans.com should be around for a long time. Hopefully everyone here will stick around.

You know, I've thought about that before too. Do you at some point leave messageboards entirely. And even though it's morbid, if we keep posting, think about, 50 years from now when someone passes away and you've chatted on a messageboard with them for that entire time. It's kind of weird.

in 50 yrs we will all have morphed into a higher form of being, communicating telepathically- therefore, message boards will be entirely unnecessary.

The thing about FlameFans is that most (the majority) of us share a common bond in LU. We'll always be alumni/alumnus. It's a little different than following a forum of MLB or the NFL.
In the meantime, I agree with Medic--we'll all have a little Mork and Mindy in us soon.
