Many people I know violate these rules daily. Here is a guideline for correct "Shotgun" usage. Credit one of my co-workers for finding this.

That is funny. 3 months ago this came up big time at my job when a bunch of us were riding to a luncheon. In fact we all had several emails about what was right and wrong and there were varying opinions until someone found a link about the rules. It put everything in perspective. Good stuff.
