The Last Harry Potter Book

The last Harry Potter book goes on sale at 12:01. And yes, I will be at Barnes and Noble to buy it at that time. I figured I'd already be up here for work, why not stay an extra hour and go ahead and get the book. This does mean I may not be on FlameFans at all tomorrow.
Anyone else gonna buy the book?

Nope...during the summer most of my close friends are outta state, and since I'm not visiting any of them right now, I have no life at all except for working as a beer man at a baseball stadium.

Are you the tall thin guy who yells, "
Beer Here" (in your best
Boston accent, not pronouncing any of the "r's")?

He might be this guy:

Nope, I stand behind a register, sometimes working the food line, other times the beer line. Someone actually took a picture of me working the beer line last August and tried to turn me in...so annoying to have to deal with that.

I would be buying it the day of, but I'm only three books into it. I (obviously) didn't read them for a long time for no good reason. A friend of mine shoved the first three books into my hands and said to give them back when I was done, but not before. So, I've read them. As soon as I get the next three from them, I'll buy the whole collection.
I also haven't seen any of the movies and purposefully avoid reading anything about the series for fear of spoilers. For that reason, I probably won't return to this thread. I can't really believe I clicked on it to begin with.

It a sad day in America when you wake up to read the paper and see a picture of a security company that look like they should be delivering money to a bank and instead their delivering children's books. Honestly, one must ask the question.. are people really that big of losers?

People who are excited to read the Harry Potter book are no bigger losers than the people who post on FlameFans.com about it.

I just can't think of anything that is worth waiting in line to get at 12:01am. I just can't.

I thought you left this thread, never to return?

Yeah, something told me to come back. Perhaps it was magic.
I'm just saying that we're all losers in one way or another. The people who wait for PS3's all night, for example. Or, the people who analyze sports down to the most minute statistics when it's nothing more than the hobby. Just seems a bit much to go picking on excited Harry Potter fans, to me, when we all spend a lot more time here talking about a small division I school's athletics than they'll spend waiting in line or even reading the books.

I think it's worse that they HAVE to have security at every release. Some people thrive to ruin it for other people and that's the sad part about it.

Some people say the same thing about a sports. They're just a game. It's just a tv show. It's just a movie. It's just an album.
Everybody has to be into something. What's your point?

It's a book that promotes witch craft and satanism. I'm shocked there is even a thread about it here, let alone good Liberty folk reading it.

It's fiction. Anyone who thinks it's "promoting" anything other than book sales is completely wrong.

Woah... Easy there feller. I'm not a big fantasy genre kind of guy (no, not THAT kind of fantasy), but the LotR series was some of the best video work I have ever seen.

I fell asleep in the movie for a little bit, the girl I was with fell asleep during it, the other couple we were with almost fell asleep. It was horrible.
