Anyone ever watch this show on the Military Channel?

I love the show but I can't stand the host. He doesn't talk. He whispers the entire time. It almost ruins the show, then he blows something up and it's ok.

That's because he's a bad mother navy seal. He will break you in half. You're just lucky he hasn't read this thread.

Oh, I know he could kill me.


At least he wouldn't bother anyone else since he'd be whispering the whole time.

I believe the guy that hosts the show is one of the authors my wife does publicity for right now. If so, he has some serious credentials. But I agree that his on air delivery is somewhat lacking.

He's got a crap load of credentials and really knows what he's talking about. I won't deny that.

Is this the "Unleash the Warrior Within" guy?

I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I think the show itself is fascinating and the weapons are awesome. The host really looks the part of an ex-Navy Seal. Then he opens his mouth and ruins it with that ridiculous whispering delivery. Obviously he's not a professional actor, and he does seem knowledgible, but you would think someone at the Discovery Channel would realize how bad it is and have the stones to say something.

Not fire. I think he is so identified with the show that he would be hard to replace as host. Maybe explain to him that his wonderfully dramatic whispering would be even more effective if he spoke normally most of the time and just used it occasionally for contrast.
