In the first video, I can spot a couple of kids I'd like to kick in the face. But the part where the police on horseback rush in and the crowd scattters is pretty cool. We should get police horses in Lynchburg.

Its a Texas thing. I learned the back story when I arrived down here. It marks the date when word reached Texas slaves of Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

It essentially is a the black history holiday here in the Lone Star State. Its good for a parade and some quality soul food if you are looking for it. But like everything else it can be used as an excuse for trouble.

The Second Video reminds me of Florida haha.

Its spread to other places over the years. But most don't even know the back story anymore. Its just an excuse to "celebrate".
