I admit freely that I have pilfered these from a fantastic thread of the PCCboard. But here are some honest to goodness real album covers of Christian music back in the day. You couldn't dream up some of this no matter what type of Photoshop Whiz you may be ...

Some of these are priceless. You wonder what type of hallucigens were involved in the designs.

Which ones are your favorites?

Too. Many. Jokes. To. Think. Clearly.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hahahahaha.

I am dying to hear "If I Were A Woman".

And I have to wonder if Capitol Records would press "Satan is Real" under their own label today. How quickly times have changed.

I think that Mike Crain the "karate preacher" was at Thomas Road when I was at LBC for a big youth sunday school rally.

Two things:

Jose Angel's album title translates to: "Mother, I am a Christian Homosexual"

And I have been to Mike Crain's camp in Tennessee. Twice.

Mike Crain was my dad's roommate at Tennessee Temple for awhile way back in the day.

Come on, guys. I give you a treasure trove of material to work with and nobody's stepping up to the plate?

Is this is what you are looking for, Sly?

I am so glad the McDonald sisters have confidence....b/c what they REALLY need is a couple of paper bags...

"This is Your Funeral"...

Wow...what a let down that album was. Really put me in a lousy mood...a grave mood, I might add. So bad that I got a coughing fit.

On the other hand...."The Addicts Sing"...

...I could not stop listening to it...just couldn't get enough of it...left me craving more.

Without a doubt,

my favs:

1. Don't know what I like more- the matching outfits or the wicked afro (somewhere, SCAR is jealous)

2. Before I saw the title (and really, even AFTER) I'm concerned about this young lady's whereabouts:

3. No real discussion needed- just sick

Sly, you mentioned a PCC message board. If other christian colleges (BJU, TTU, PCC) have message boards, I'd love to have some links so we can see what they are discussing, esp. since they don't have any DI athletics.

This was the follow up album to multi-platinum "lubricate my bone". For some reason it was a HUGE seller among teenage boys, but this album added an "s" to the end of bone and "lord" to the beginning and didn't sell close to as many albums as the other had sold! :D

Mike Crain came to my church when I was in high school...but I have to admit that I do enjoy the Louvin Brothers. Great harmonies, in fact the one that's still alive was interviewed in the latest Acoustic Guitar magazine.
Del Ray used to talk about lame Christian album covers in Art 101. That's when I brought my Daniel Amos "Alarma!" LP to class.

ANyone who knows me KNOWS i have a lot to say about each album cover. However, do to the nature of this board I am afraid I will be condemned to hell for some of the comments. (Although, there are those who feel I already have a nice condo over looking the lake of fire!)
