Why?

I just saw a commercial with a bunch of kids from different schools talking about how we're all Hokies, and it ends with a kid from VCU saying Go Hokies.

Why?

Why was this commercial needed?

Why is June 2 the first time I've seen it?

I just don't understand why we're making commercials almost two months after the fact. There's no use to make commercials to remind these people about what happened anytime they watch tv.

Oh gosh....if I would've seen this commercial it would have started a rant, much like the stupid "There is a Hokie Heaven" sign over on Wards Road....

We are not all Hokies, this seriously was the stupidest coined phrase I have heard in a long time. Of course its good for us to be with them and help them if needed at all, but we will never understand where they are coming from, we will never be Hokies, we are not all Hokies and if I went to Tech I would be getting sick of everybody thinking it was OK for them to say they were all part of my school when they clearly are not...

Like you said Jon, its freaking June...making this even more annoying....

Good job Jon, you made me rant

I had only been awake 23 minutes so I wasn't thinking well enough to get a good rant off.

You did it for me.

Thank God I haven't seen that sign on Wards Rd.

new policy: I'm doing this every time I see a Hokie sign

I simply don't drive on Wards Rd.

If you drive from the North-most point of Wards heading South, it becomes visible rather quickly and stays visible until you pass by it. That billboard has been empty for a long time, and I've never noticed the amount of eye time it's able to pull in.

I avoid Wards if I don't have to. I've been on it twice in the past week (just as far as the Best Buy shopping center) and that's more than probably the past month. I generally don't eat anywhere over there, and rarely go to Wal-Mart.

I got Sam's once every couple of weeks and there's a Food Lion half a mile from my house.
