Who knew? An old law shuts psychics

Inquirer Staff Writers
Philadelphia's fortune-tellers didn't see it coming. Suddenly they're facing a very unhappy future.
Alerted to an obscure state law banning fortune-telling "for gain or lucre," the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections is closing storefront psychics, astrologers, phrenologists and tarot-card readers who charge money for their services.

I like the part where the guy compared shutting down psychics to the crucifixion of Christ. Because, apparently, Jesus was psychic.
And phrenologists? Didn't the practice of phrenology die out with the death of Sir Arthur Retard in 1804?

The Psychics should have filed the lawsuit THE DAY BEFORE! By The Way – Does anyone else really like the USA show Psych? I think it’s one of the best shows on TV.
