I don't even have a reason to be interested in a list like this, but I figured someone will appreciate it.

Should I have created a new identity to post that?

If you talk to Canadians they say there is no such thing as good American beer...
I don't know enough about the topic to even say that is a good list...but if a Canadian were to see it they would say Good American beer is an oxymoron...

Most other countries think that way about American beer, from what I've read. These sort of lists are out there to dispel those myths, I suppose. Again, this is a completely foreign subject to me, so I only know what I read.

yeah i was going to say other countries say this too...but I haven't heard that first hand...I have heard canadians trash on american beer on many occasions....
I for one have drank only twice in my life, the first I had one beer, hated it so moved on to mixed drinks...the second time it was coke and the captain...then i decided getting drunk was a waste of time

I'm with SJ...I was expecting a different list
So...is it good or bad if I have only had one of these on the list?

I couldn't tell you...the Hillcats only use the big breweries

I'm surprised by any list of best American beers that doesn't have any entries from Sierra Nevada or Anchor Brewery. Of course, the Dogfish Head at the top of the list is a good choice (although they picked the wrong one from that brewery - the 90 Minute IPA is better).

a good friend of mine is the brewmaster for the # 3 beer on this list. let's keep this topic on the list and not anything else, or we will have to close it.

if you've ever had canadian beer, the reason they hate our beer is because we have what 6-8% alchohol?...most canadien beer has a bit more alcohol...molson xxx is ridiculous....
also the europeans don't like our beer because its a) cold, b) free of sticks and leaves, c) doesn't look like coffee

Again, I only know what I read but according to that list, the Dogfish Head World Wide Stout is 18%.
