Thankful for God's timing, I could have died today.

TallyW and LUConn are probably dissapointed to hear that this didn't actually occur---but I experienced divine timing today.Long story short- I'm a sports and activities writer at our local paper. There's an airshow in town this weekend and I was offered a chance to fly along with a stunt pilot at a local airshow today. Two days ago I backed out of it because of a scheduling conflict, One hour ago, he crashed and died. I could have very well been on that plane. Coincidences like that certainly put life in perspective. Romans 8:28 certaily comes to mind.

holy cow, poor pilot
And I love hoopsmalone. You bring spice to the board. You just happen to be wrong. Me and Sparrow used to get into it on the ESPN board so don't sweat it.

I'm SURE that Tally and LUConn do not have a death wish on you. I'm glad to hear of God's protection of you. Now if you had only attended Liberty, than you probably would not have the job you have now and you would be in NO danger whatsoever. That, my friend, is why Liberty is better than Samford!!

One thing you'll learn about me is i'm never wrong and I always get the last word. Those two facts are as certain as death and taxes

well that explains why you're living with Jack Sparrow and not your hot wife.

haha, I'm working on that hot wife. I still have to get the nerve to ask her out first. As for Mr. Sparrow, he's too busy slaving away at work to post. If his knowledge about liberty sports is as dull ashis knowledge of college sports in general, i probably already know more about liberty sports than he does.

Is that the Titusville air show??? If so that is like 5 minutes from my parents house....
crazy story...

yup, the tico warbird airshow. What part of hepa-Titusville are they from? You wouldn't recognize the northeast side of town. They just completed two high rise condos next to sandpoint park.

I've covered more crashes at airshows than I care to count. If you get through an airshow with everyone alive, its generally considered a success. If its not the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds, I steer clear of all other ride-alongs.
And we're glad you're still with us, hoopsmalone ... visions of self-grandeur intact.

Hoops. C'mon... do you really think anyone on this board wishes you harm? I'm sad to hear about the pilot and certainly glad you're alive.

I believe your roommate knows my identity. I've been in the television news biz here in Texas for 17 years.
