Okay.. so it may not be in the Liberty Way but who's going to see it? Early reviews saying it's one of the best movies to come out in awhile.

I will be going to see it, eventually. I didn't make it last night.
I have a friend who got to see it in a DLP theater last night though, and they confirmed that it was a pretty amazing film.

Just to warn everyone, it has it's fair share of nudity. Although most of it is far from erotic. Deformed girls that are quite unattractive. It has a little Greek mythology involved with some weird races and monsters. When comparing it to films like Braveheart and Gladiator (David and Goliath stories) it isn't even close, but it still is a pretty good movie! I just wouldn't recommend it to most people due to the unnecessary nudity.

Unnecessary? I'm nude at least twice a day and I don't hear any complaining.

As long as Will Ferrell doesn't make a surprise cameo, I'll still go see it.

By the way, "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield is an excellent read on the battle.

I've heard nothing but good about this film... I'll probably rent it on DVD.
I don't feel strongly enough about it to drive to Roanoke and pay $6+, but I want to watch in in relative peace, i.e. not with the rowdy Movies 10 ghetto crowd.

Saw the movie and for starters you MUST see it in surround sound and in stadium seating (Very Gladitorial I must say!)
OUTSTANDING!! I am glad they used my physique for a prototype fot he spartan warriors! Very forward thinking
Can I just say I am a HUGE fan of the Oracle??? The cinematography was unbelievable. The scene with her was filmed underwater btw.
It was a tad violent, but who can argue with the slo mo wall of dead people being pushed over on the Immortals?
Best line of the movie:
To the hunchback "You, I hope you live forever!" Even better than "Our arrows will block out the sun" "Then we will fight in the shade"
This is a two seeer
