Is it legal or not? I downloaded it, but it doesn't seem right. Anyone explain.

I'm curious to see the responses to this one.

I sense another game decided at the final buzzer ... but what else would you expect from these two teams?

What would I expect? Certainly not a reply to a thread about Limewire.

it is illegal to download copyrighted stuff. the way limewire gets by is they say that its up to the users to know if what they are distributing is copyrighted or not. so technically almost everything on limewire is illegal, but not everything.

Software like Limewire is just like owning a VCR or a DVD burner. Yes, you could pirate movies with either of them, but what you choose to do with it is up to you.

It depends on which judge you ask.

assuming your wanting to download music, rather than using limewire, try going to this web site
http://www.etceteraforums.com/index.php?&&&CODE=00 . You have to register, but all you need is an email and password. They literally have thousands of cd's, anything you can think of (including the OST for the cartoon show Doug from back in the day) you just have to find it. Also try
http://kinixtion.blogspot.com/index.html . They have less, but are a little bit easier to find what your looking for. As far as movies, TV, if your just wanting to watch them go to Peekvid.com or also try
http://www.alluc.org/alluc/index.php for a larger selection. This stuff may not be 100% legal, but they will probably shut the websites down before they go out and arrest people who use them.

The software (limewire) is legal...it's just a matter of what you use that software for. If you download items that do not have a copy right protection then you're legal.
I personally use Limewire for all my music and software...of course it's a trial basis for both, if I enjoy the music I'll go buy the CD and if I like the software then I'll buy that as well...believe it or not, that holds a little weight in court, not much but a little
dont stress you'll never be bothered even if you downloaded 100000000000000 gigs of whatever...the govt only cares about the makers and distributors of software like limewire and many other p2p things....heck there are still websites you can download software and music from....dont worry

It's not that I mind paying 99 cents for a song. I'm just ticked that the music I'm looking for is not available on itunes. Sure I could buy the cd, but I'm the kind of person that would own practically zero music if I had to buy cd's. I'm just really picky and typically I like to buy a song here and there. Seldom do I like a whole cd, so having to buy the extra songs is really annoying.
Almost every song on limewire is copyrighted. I like you're idea of previewing songs and such, and then getting rid of them.

Yeah exactly.

I deleted all the music before I went to bed. Now I'll download it again and delete it at night.
