Flamefans.com has finally been handed over to us from our former webhost. I know that since the board has been more or less working all of this time, not many of you care, but this is a very good thing. The last thing we're waiting on is an automated process which is scheduled to happen this Thursday, and then the move to the new server will finally be complete.

Thank God that's over. :nod

P.S.

You may get a new cookie since we're moving back to the other domain now. This just means that there could be a time you log in (just once) where new posts aren't displayed. It should work again after this first time.

Great question. I believe the answer to that is yes, but when we moved back in December, I had to change the passwords on the email accounts. I'll PM everyone their new passwords this week.

It's a beautiful thing not to have to login twice everytime I come here.

We don't get control of the domain until sometime tomorrow. Hopefully these issues today will be a thing of the past.

Medic: The .info thing may take a few days to shake out, but hopefully over time we will be able to drop it completely. The only reason I left it in place is for the benefit of folks who started coming here when that was what we were using primarily.

Today we finally took over complete control of the site on the new host after three months of trying. We should be able to get everything back working shortly. And hopefully we'll be able to add some new features in the not too distant future.

Does that mean .info will re-direct at some point to .com?

Actually, .info will fade away completely but remain on standby for any future .com emergencies. I mean, at $1.99 a year why wouldn't we keep it? :)
