My grandparents used to live in Lady Lake and my grandmother is buried in the cemetery at the Baptist Church there. What a horrific disaster.

sorry to hear reports of at least 2 children killed at local HS's.
One family with both parents and a child dead, as well as many, many others injured.

Apparantly...
...Daytona took a decent hit, too, with buildings at Embry-Riddle's athletic facilities damaged. Former leader of LU's facilities Woody Galbreath is at that school, now.

Praise the Lord my great-grandmother now lives up here in Virginia instead of down there in Florida. Anyone know how Ormond Beach faired?

Yeh, Brevard is growing quite a bit. I think alot of people from South Florida are moving up here because the price of living and overcrowding. Yeh i'm up in Titusville quite a bit either fishing at the refuge or eating at dixie crossroads.

Isn't Viera a suburb of Rockledge...
...lived there back in the early 70's and went to the elementary school right up the road (HCA).

wow small world, yeh I lived in Rockledge for pretty much my whole life until I went to Liberty and then my parents moved to North Merritt Island. Rockledge is pretty much turning into a surburb for Viera the way Viera has been growing.

everybody loves Dixie Crossroads....and yeah the price of living in Brevard is so cheap compared to other places...but as things grow I have a feeling that will change...I moved to Titusville in 1998 and graduated from THS in 2001, hung around for a couple more years doing nothing with my life until I came up here to Liberty....but even the years since 1998 Titusville has changed a lot...I like going to the Playalinda beach...its so nice and not overcrowded like the other beaches...tons of fun had there
anyways....crazy how small this world is...
