Avatar Issues--tech help needed

Okay, I read this:
Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
But I still can't get my little cider jug image to load, and it's smaller than 80 by 80 pixels and less than 6KB. Any suggestions?

Those specs are not the case. Or at least they used to not be. I've had far bigger. But I have no idea what the problem with yours is.

upload to imageshack or whatever its called and link too it. thats the only way i could make mine work

I prefer Flickr.com over Image Shack, but regardless, if you're having trouble with an Avatar here, it could be related to our "temporary" domain status. If some features of the board aren't working quite right because of that, it wouldn't surprise me.
