Well, this topic doesn't really belong anywhere but I just couldn't pass up posting this.
According to news reports, the Mexican government has confiscated the firearms of the Tijuana police force amid allegations of widespread corruption and collusion with drug gangs. They have replaced the confiscated weapons with slingshots.

In a related story, the Tijuana police cornered Alfalfa, Spanky and the rest of Our Gang in an abandoned warehouse on the US-Mexican border and a heavy shootout ensued. Six people were sent to the hospital with some pretty nasty bruises.
