It starts tonite. Do we not realize there is more to life than sports? What is Jack Bauer going to do now??? The early reviews are outstanding. The media has done a good job NOT letting any info out other than:
1- A lot of brutality
2 - Jack makes several mistakes for the first time
3 - Chloe - sex machine
4 - Pres. Logan returns
5 - Not everyone you thought was dead last season may be dead

And did anyone see the CSPAN thing on 24? It had 2 people from think tanks who were anti terror experts, 2 producers from 24, and 3 members of the cast? It was hosted by Rush Limbaugh. It was pretty good but the fact that Rush is now DEAF sort of took away some of the timing.

Any way, I am waiting till about 8:45 to start watching so that I can click through the commercials.

Let the clock start ticking

All I know (and I don't watch the show) is that there's no chance Jack dies. It's highly publicized that he just signed a 3 year contract.

Lately I've become that way with 24. I already have enough shows to watch on Monday night though.

SJ...I agree, Jack probably does not die, but it IS still possible. Just becasue he signed a 3 year deal does not mean he signed on as Jack Bauer for 3 years. Remember that he is director/producer etc. for the show as well. The extension could simply be just that.

2 more minutes!

I watched the first three seasons and then decided I was bored. This season looks like it will be good, but since I skipped the last two, I think I'll have to wait for it to hit DVD.

Now that is the way to kick off season 6!!!!! Tomorrow is going to be really good

I thought is was so, so. It was a normal, regular TV show premier, it set up the season, caught us up as to what has happend in the past 20 months. I do not think it compared at all to the season 5 premiers last year. So much happend in those shows, you did not know what wsa going to happen next. I don't know, maybe my expectations were a litte high, so there wsa no way to meet them. Here's hoping tomorrow is a little better.

i thought it was pretty good. i like the part when he bit the dude's jugular.
we had to rig a computer to our tv and surround sound, so we had a little distortion but it was worth it to be able to watch the show. and being the only people on campus right now, it was good to have something to do

i testify that the tv/computer/surround sound rig was pretty impressive, as was 24. i'm pretty anxious to see if the the american kid is killed or not. regardless, jack b. is the man...as always.

Ok, I had to go ice my knee after that jab!!! Can you say OUCH!!!!
I love it alll EXCEPT: Not feeling the "other" Palmer as President. Need some help there. Who is this lady working with Bill (OK I have a little man crush on him) Buchanon? What is HER story and why isn't Chloe in that position?
Word on the streeet is that arab kid has a nuke and it will be exploded.
How about the "drop kick me to Allah"?
I like the Arab bad now good (bad again?) guy.
Love the arab good now bad guy.

For those that say it is too far advanced I say go rent the DVD's. It is the only way to watch the show. I love the show but hate the fact that there will on ly be one hour time slots. I say go commerical free and just subsidize with product placements!!!!

your not the only one on campus, especially now after all the new students. but about half the debate team was in the debate computer lab watching it on iptv, it was pretty sweet. I thought there could have been more that happened in 2 hours, but i also think jack bauer could kick chuck norris' tail any day

Chuck Norris is old enough to collect social security.

I caught a few minutes of it but wasn't hooked. But I cannot wait for Prison Break to be back.

and I don't know what anyone is talking about.

is this on Nickelodeon (East, West, or Nicktoons)?

or History Channel?

if not, I have no idea.

and now I'm wondering why I pay for 350 channels when we only watch 4.

I have never been a diehard '24' fan. I've enjoyed the show but never been all that dedicated to it. This year, however, was the first time I was actually looking forward to catching the new season. I rushed home from dinner w/ friends, dumped little Libber in the bathtub and clicked it on. Fifteen minutes later, I muttered, "Screw this," clicked it off and helped little Libber wash his hair. That was right about the time the show turned into an after-school special w/ the dude from 'Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle'. Between the unbelievably sketchy premise, the prez being Palmer's baby brother (seriously? they thought they could get away with that?), the co-opting of Peter MacNicol (you don't get away with that) and the show's general sense of malaise (a la Vince Carter after signing a contract extension) and I won't be watching it this year. Bring back Marwan's evil twin and you might get me.

Bring on Syler and the Cheerleader!

HMO You should be fine. THey do a good job catching "newbies" up on the show during the season. You know the premise: Jack Bauer v. The WOrld. Then you can rent the first couple of seasons and watch during the week to catch up.

haha were not nearly as bad as band geeks. at least 2 of us were supposed to be on sports teams here before doing debate, and one of the girls was Miss teen Connecticut last year, and thats just 3 cool people out of the 6 novice's

Yea, because kids in band have never been all-conference athletes or cheerleaders.

You know, I fondly remember those good old days when people were defined in their roles as either "cool" or "geeks". And then I graduated from high school.
