A Sea Of Red

More accurately- a sports curse.

I have been banned from watching the Flyers at work (since we could have a 4 goal lead with 5 min in the 3rd period and LOSE if I watch), you all know my history watching or listening to LU FB online (though this year I was 50/50) and now I am singlehandedly close to ruining the Eagles' season.

Case in point:

I am not currently watching the Eagles/Giants game- though I would LOVE to do so. About 10 minutes ago I rush in and flip the game on- Philly leads, 14-10. I tune in a bit later, we're still up 21-16 I believe.

Eagles driving, I JUST SIT DOWN to see Garcia run for the 1st, then promptly spike the ball in the DB's face in a blatant display of stupidity. Of course the yellow comes out. 15 yards. Next play- a horrendous throw over the middle- OF COURSE PICKED OFF, then run back about 50 yds to the Eagles 30. A rush or two, then a fade route which OF COURSE results in a Defensive Holding. In the space of 4 viewing minutes we've gone from driving for the back breaking score to NY on the doorstep for the game winning TD.

At this point I turn off the game and go looking for the dog.

fast forward 15 minutes. I tune in again, against my better judgement to see (IMPROBABLY ENOUGH) Philly UP 36-22 w/ 1:55 to play. I have NO idea what happened

Still not calm here.....i want to bury Romo under the star next week and i want dawkins to spit in TO's face and watch him cry like the girl he is. If the Eagles win the NFC ( somehow ) the Cowboys and Giants se hould be embarrased.....JEFF GARCIA....you have got to be kidding me.

we let them get outta the Link w/ a FRIGGIN GIFT earlier this year. They were WAY overrated.

then again, the whole NFC is hideously mediocre this year.

you call it parity I call it a watered down league but not as watered down as the NBA. I enjoy the NFL as much as anything other than college hoops though. Medic do not tune in on Christmas day...We need to beat the Cowbells silly!

The AFC really isn't that much better. Only slightly. I think the entire league is either having a down year, or everyone is just playing at the same level, sans a couple of obvious exceptions.

I know- that ones gonna be tough. And we're having the entire family over here as well.

i think the seahawks will still win the NFC, i mean they were without their 4 stars for about 5 weeks and still were winning, now that they are starting to be fully healed, they will turn it around.
