The new 'Knives Out' movie on Netflix stunned me. I can't find anything directly connecting Rian Johnson who wrote & directed the movie to Christianity. But the spiritual themes in the film are very strong. In fact, the young priest practically spews Evamgelical orthodoxy throughout the film although interspersed with language that seems highly out of place. The moral dilemmas presented throughout the film including faith healing and prosperity theology are not what you expect in a mainstream film. Benoit Blanc presents all the standard positions that engage apologetics.

The coup de grace for me was in the bar scene when the music ambience is none other than the late Larry Norman belting out his anthem, "Why should the Devil have all the good music?" I nearly fell out of my chair. That is not just a random song. Someone must've been exposed to Christian music back in the '70s or '80s to have that reference.

Bottom line, it is worth the watch.
