Almost old news by today's standards, but I'm still having a hard time grasping the fact that he has been taken from us. I really believe the dude could have been President.

Great job by all the LE agencies involved in identifying and arresting his killer so quickly.

Am I the only one wondering if the guy's dad get's the $100,000 reward, since he turned him in?

His dad is a Sheriff's deputy. Not sure if LE are eligible for rewards? And not sure he would take it. Has to be an awful situation to be in.

As a LE officer, I'm pretty sure he would not be eligible.

I wondered about the reward too. But does the youth pastor get the reward for making the call after the dad informed him?

As facts have trickled in, it now is clear that the father was not LE. It was an assumption made because there is a deputy sheriff there with the same last name. The youth pastor on the other hand, apparently is somehow affiliated with LE. If the dad is eligible, he should take the $$ IMHO, and do something worthwhile with it.

Fox News is now reporting that the alleged shooter was in a romantic relationship with his roommate, a biological male transitioning to female.

But all the comments are that he wasn't a leftist. He was from a Mormon, Republican household. Unfortunately for them, he didn't become a killer until he switched to their side.
