LU Alum Sam Ponder (host of ESPN's Sunday Night Countdown) was just fired with ESPN citing the reason as "budget cuts". I think we all know what this is about. The culture war carries on, despite many's best efforts to ignore it.

They also fired RGIII. She’ll probably land at Fox sports but I hope we can bring her back.

Sam will land on her feet. This is ESPN's loss. Big loss.

Disney is hemorrhaging, so the budget cuts explanation is plausible.

Now WHO they choose to cut could be based on what y’all suspect. But if I’m Sam or Robert, I’m counting my blessings.
