The recall function does not take your message back. It simply draws attention to the fact that there is an error in your message and makes you look like more of an idiot than you already do. That is all.

no, I've got other outlook caveats from my own personal blunders. Sometimes certain button clicking becomes habbit *cough* reply to all *cough*
But this comes from getting recall messages a good 1 or 2 times per week and noticing they do nothing but tell me that the person is trying to recall the message.

If you don't open the message before they recall it, it disappears from your inbox but I think you the recipient have to ok it.
