I love the place, but have issues w/ ingesting other people's poop- so am holding off for now.

SCAR- if you're up this holiday season- avoid the Lower Moreland joint.

or ANY in MontCo, for that matter

I eat Taco Bell at least once a week. Three grande soft tacos and no drink is $4.98 here in Lynchburg.

It's sad that I have prices at fast food joints memorized.

Ok, maybe it's good because I know exactly what I can afford.

good- your turn to treat on my next visit.

I'll have the #7 - I think- (3) soft tacos and a medium Pepsi.

thanks

Here's something strange. My mom was visiting from CT and she ordered the same thing that she always gets there and it was like $1 more expensive here than at home. How is it possible that Taco Bell is more expenive here than in a place where you can't get a bottle of soda out of a machine for less than $1.50

Lynchburg's food tax might explain some of it. Just a guess.

Food tax may explain it, as may the dearth of fast food Tex-Mex-ish in the area.

When are we getting a Chipotle or Baja Fresh?

of the chains:
Baja Fresh = overrated
Chipotle = yummy yummy
Moe's = the best

I expect a Chipotle in that new upscale shopping center that LU wants to build.

Chipotle is overrated IMHO. Buit if that's the best you guys can do, that'd be fine. If you ever make it to Texas or Cali, try Freebirds. It is what Chipotle aspires to be but misses badly.

Moe's isn't bad. Buit the place makes me feel old with all of the high schoolers everywhere.

As for Taco Bell, I remember when I was in school I drove with my buddies all over Northern Virginia searching for the couple of TBs up there. When they opened the Taco Bell in Madison Heights, my roommate was so excited he went to work there. We used to drive up there several times a week until the novelty wore off. Yeah, I know how sad that sounds.

The food tax here is insane. 11 cents on the dollar is what it is I think.

We need a Moe's. I love that place.

well SJ you have not had the full Liberty/Lynchburg experience if you haven't been there yet...not the best food or anything...but it hits the spot at 1 or 2 in the morning and need a break from studying....

I remember one time back freshmen year when the only exit from campus was the guard shack entrance and they had a security guard there and you couldn't leave a friend of mine on my hall parked his car over at wal mart then at like 2 in the morning we went walking through the woods across the railroad tracks over to wal-mart then hit up the T room....its memories like that that will stick with you forever, haha

I'm w/ SJ. Been here since '93 and never been to the T-Room. Then again, I can't say I've ever actually gone looking for the full 'Lynchburg Experience'. The Wards Road Wilco is enough for me.

Texas Inn is just something you do once (maybe twice) and that's that.

As for middle of the night grub, Sheetz is still a great option, but now Sonic has gone 24/7 with their FULL menu (are you listening McDonald's?) and they take call-ahead orders. It's not the be-all end-all, but as a third-shifter, I welcome any middle of the night options that may arise.
