Highly debatable. And that’s why we find ourselves here.
And Trump was elected President At least once. That’s more than can be said about Romney. Or McCain
Romney and McCain didn't go up against Hillary or Biden. Obama was more formidable, as he was gifted with a silver tongue that gave people the warm fuzzies when he spoke, which covered up his horrible domestic and foreign policies. Plus neither McCain nor Romney were necessarily beloved by hard core conservatives, who for some reason seem to love Trump despite the fact that he isn't really that conservative.

They seem genuinely disappointed with the President’s performance.
Good night for CNN. Maybe their fair, balanced approach continues. Would do wonders for viewership.

I thought the debate mods were very fair and middle ground.

But let’s be honest: none of the MSM would be this down on President Biden unless the Dems were allowing it. This seems all “according to plan” to me. (Channeling my inner Ballcoach)

I and others were already on record long before last night that Joe can’t run, won’t run. Now even the MSM is saying it, and discussing who can be the one to tell Joe? That they’re even allowed to say so is stunning, and yet also completely normal. We’ve been headed this way for awhile now.

Biden looks and sounds like a very old guy who's cracking under pressure ... as years of family corruption is being exposed. He's losing his usefulness to the deepstate agencies that have been protecting him.

You don’t have to go that deep and sound that outlandish to still win the argument. Even if you’re right, you can win the case against Biden at this point without having to forfeit credibility by making your case that way.

Romney and McCain tried that logic.

The Dems did this on purpose so they can circumvent the normal primary process and avoid the infighting it usually brings. They will use this as an opportunity to talk about how they just didn't know how bad Joe really was and they'll install their chosen choice with no pushback.

On the bright side, hopefully some of you that are clearly stuck in the MSM bubble maybe saw some daylight last night... Hard to believe that anyone actually thinks an 81 yr old man with dementia is more electable than someone else, even if that person is DJT.

They found a way to sub Hillary in place of the party favorite Bernie last election. Democrats dont let their voters select who they want. Doesn't sound much like the democracy they talk about all the time.

Just to throw this out there….Tim Scott has some skeletons in his closet. The Oppo Research on him could drop a big and surprising bomb on his VP chances.

No way this ever happens....

If he does resign, which could be a huge possibility - it will be Michelle Obama (well... Barrack for 8 more years). Don't every underestimate the power of the Dems and the media.

Agree. And 8 more years of democrat leadership, will be the end of our standing in the world. Will usher in a new world order.

My post was referring to him resigning before the end of his term and Kamala being temporarily promoted to POTUS until the election. Taking Hillary's dream way, being first official female POTUS.

Their first move yesterday was to sucker punch Kennedy

At this stage, if Joe steps aside it will be difficult for Kamala to be stepped over for the nomination. The optics for certain bases in the Democratic Party would be brutal unless Michelle Obama were the one inserted on the ticket. And I am anot hearing a peep from the Obama corner about this being a possibility. I've heard more about Gretchen Whitmer than the former First Lady.

What is most likely to happen IMO is that he will decline the Nomination. That allows him to serve out the term. You’ll then have a nominating convention and don’t have the optics of pass ing over a sitting president who is also a minority. She will have to fight for the nomination like everyone else

The main problem with this is that anyone other than Harris would have to start from scratch with fund raising. My money would be on Kamala to end up being the Democrat candidate. Right now, for the first time, she is actually polling better than Biden in a head to head with Trump, but I don't think that would last long once she is in the spotlight for a while. She may be the only nationally known politician who is more annoying/ less liked than Hillary Clinton.

It would not be difficult for any nominee to raise money after a convention. Heck that would be part of the negotiations before one came out if the convention
