Absolutely brilliant move on several levels. Not saying anything means that the other investigations aren’t gifted any freebies to try and make hay with. Nothing could be leaked, and you know it would have been, regarding his testimony so there’s nothing new to talk about. And since there’s no news to talk about the focus continues to be on the FBI raid on Mar A Lago It’s giving him momentum and the longer it takes for the FBI to come out with their reasoning the more momentum he gains. Frankly, at this point they may have missed their damage control window and nothing short of nuclear launch codes are going to justify this in a lot of peoples minds

the republicans could be setting themselves up for disappointment. if you begin to blame everything on the current regime and you convince people of that, when those things turn around (which they will because the market generally could give a crap who is in power or president) what are you going to do then. inflation is high because of the pandemic. shutting things down, creating supply side issues that we knew would be felt for years, and injecting so much fiat currency into the markets is something that we could see decades of impact because of. Now the current administration can sway it a few percentage points or 2 but in reality this was going to happen regardless of who was in president. so when it stops and starts going back to some level of normalcy, who's left holding the bag?

the democrats will turn those losses into wins come 2024 if inflation goes back to normalish numbers (we cut inflation in half!) even though they spent the first 2 years trying to convince us that there is no way it can be controlled by the president (they are partially correct).

You always act like we dismissed that but that isn't 100% accurate. I always agreed with you that Trump wasn't actually a republican. He used the republican party because there was no way he'd win without it because a 3rd party candidate will never win in our current state. Now the repbilcian party has completely transformed into the party of Trump and the party will have to live with that for better or for worse. Jury is still out on that. Well I guess it is for some of us.
