...as I sit in one of my weekend on-campus doctoral classes posting on FlameFans? Superjon, I now understand the allure.

Hopefully, the students I teach will not find out about the site. The last thing needed is to get sidetracked in a lecture because of a FlameFans debate with my students.

Honestly, I pay attention in class better when I have the laptop with me. If I don't have it, my mind starts wondering and I start thinking of all of this other stuff and drawing and not caring about the class. With the laptop, I'm allowed to multi-task and my mind doesn't leave for the other stuff. It's hard to explain, but I actually do pay attention better with the laptop.

I'm dead serious. I have spaced out more the past two days in class without it than I have all semester.
With the laptop, I feel like I have to be involved in class to make sure the teacher knows I'm paying attention.
