It sounds like all opinions are subject to scruity....I think being in middle school is locking threads that you don't like.

I can understand why Benito LUconn locked it. It's a never-ending thread with no resolution until March. I think there will be ample time to discuss the team and its coaching throughout this season, especially when Brew becomes eligible.

FlameFans Forum is a site that is managed. Not everything is a democracy, nor should everything be. This is America, and the freedoms you have enable you to get your own site if you so choose, and then you could lock down LUConn and Sly, and say whatever you would like to say within the laws that govern this type of activity. Maybe it would be a popular site - maybe there is a market for it. It would give you the forum that you seem to be looking for, whoever you are that are frustrated here.

At least it would keep it in one spot- and you're correct, those who want to read it can, those who don't, can ignore it.

For me, personallly, I like to browse and read up on the MBB team- The problem is that right now, unfortunately, even a human interest story about the team or a recruiting thread heads down the hijack-highway in no time.

It gets disheartening, and then I avoid the forum altogether. Multiply that x 300 other members, and we start to eat our own here- killing the board.

We need a solution somewhere between too much control, and what basically amounts to SPAM swallowing an entire topic.

I agree, if we are going to "ban" personal attacks, the one making the personal attack should be reprimanded. Having read "The Thread" the only one getting personal was lureal. Why come down on Dickens? Would it have been more appropriate to start a new "Monson" thread, which would have gone down the same road? People have serious questions about the direction of the program and it is not all about wins and losses. If we define it that way than Larry Coker would still be at Miami.

acutally homeslice, there is a thread that I purposely left open becaue it was specifically talking about Dunton and his job. Heck, you could even start a new topic about it, but there's just no point. I't been talked to death and you'll bring nothing new to the table, but by all means do it. It's a legit topic of conversation. There's no denying that unless you want to bury your head in the sand. I just don't want every thread to be about that. I don't even care if a thread about the benefit of new synthetic basketballs eventually wound up talking about it. If it made sense in the course of a discussion, I'm not going to stop that.
