He was certainly a dynamic inclfuencer on Evangelical culture for decades. Attending his citywide crusades were a big deal years ago for my family. The film on his life a year or so back captured his personality and influence exceptionally well.

Unfortunately it is no longer on Prime.

I just checked and it’s there. I’m going to have to watch that. By all accounts his son Kevin is picking up where he left off.

I always have appreciated his ministry. He seemed to be able to be used to reach such a variety of people for Christ.

Many years ago when I lived in Maine I went to a Luis Palau youth rally at the University of Maine in Orono. It was there I was introduced to Five Iron Frenzy for the first time as a sheltered youth group kid. I will be forever grateful
