So, I was researching out Lynchburg College today (work-related) and was taking a look at the aesthetics and campus layout with the Lake (albeit almost dried up) that they have over there, and I must admit they have some really nice quality exteriors, interiors and campus layout over on their campus, including a really nice new addition (I never really ventured over there when I was at the LU.)

So, as an exercise in free-thinking and input, if one had the Executive Decision capability to manipulate the campus with the given the main anchoring buildings (Demoss, Mansion, Football & Soccer/Track, and Campus North and East) stay, how would you change it to be an award winning campus aesthetics-wise regardless of how "out there" the idea may be financially etc. (i.e. replace ravine/Vines with reflection pond, etc.)
Here are a few Sim-like things I wouldn't mind seeing at some point down the road:
1. Remove the 70's style "wings" on DeMoss, Schilling and the Hangar and grass it all the way from railroad to highway with a place for walkways and the necessary road. Then renovate the "back" of DeMoss to mirror the front and corners exterior. (Perhaps the sides if structurally possible. This would give DeMoss a symmetrical style all around. I also think that at some point (25,000 on campus) the building could be suited to becoming a stand alone library/technology center (like UVA's library) with meeting rooms for studying and some classrooms for liberal arts first and second year classes.)

2. A new basketball arena/convocation center akin to ODU's Constant Center or the new UVA John Paul Jones Arena (I know, expensive, but this is Sim-LU) in a good elevated location on campus to be seen from the highway.
3. A new baseball stadium in the David's place parking lot perhaps.
4. Eventually divvy some of the Campus North facility into more a "Town Center" concept by manipulating walls in order to have outside verandas, walkways and such, instead of a "Big Box" store of educational space, if possible.
5. All student living on the Campus East side with more of a community feel to the layout instead of laid out in a more "row housing" format.
